My first photo from Fanime 2011 ^^ The Baron from 'The Cat Returns'.

Ok...this is going to be a novel.....

This is one of my favourite movies and I always thought the idea of cosplaying from a Ghibli film would be really enchanting; however I didnt really have a huge drive to do any cosplays. I mentioned to ~sumikins who has done a few Ghibli cosplays that she should watch this film and then she agreed to cosplay Haru for me if I were to cosplay the Baron with her~ I have to thank her for her enthusiasm as I dont know when I would have gotten around to this otherwise.

I essentially made the entire cosplay the afternoon/evening before Fanime

I finished up the tail coat > packed my bags > and then drove to the airport lol OTL Nevertheless it all came out decently. Thanks to Ghibli's very basic and simple designs

I patterned the vest myself and altered my basic uniform coat pattern for the tailcoat.
I have to send my thanks to Choby of *Miko-Style who ~~I forced~~ graciously helped me out with a lot, specifically the bow tie, fitting, and painting the damned top hat =__=

I had originally planned to do TWO makeup tests before the con to make sure I knew what I was doing. If you know me then you realize the next thing Im going to say is that I never did the tests and just winged it all the morning of XDD; I like how it turned out, I used this youtube tutorial for reference. But there are definitely aspects I want to change if I ever wear this cosplay again.

We are cosplaying from the Studio Ghibli Animated feature "The Cat Returns"

OMG, I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!!! I love this Studio G movie!!!!! The Baron was also shown the the movie, 'Whisper of the heart' as the old mans kitty figurine in his shop.
